Ureteroscopy is the operation to get rid of kidney stones through a medical tool named a ureteroscope. 

How is Ureteroscopy surgery done?  

In a ureteroscopy operation, a ureteroscope, which is a tiny scope, is placed through the bladder to spot kidney stones. Then, the stones are being removed. In ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy, the stones are being broken. 

Before the Ureteroscopy operation

Ahead of the operation, the patients are required to urinate and stop consuming any foods and drinks a few hours before the surgery.  

After the Ureteroscopy operation

Following the operation, the patients might experience burning while peeing, which lasts for about a day. The patients are usually advised to drink a lot of water during this process. Blood in the urine can also be experienced for a couple of days.
